Friends of Verdin Park (“FoVP”, “we”, “us”) is an unincorporated community group based in Northwich, Cheshire. What we collect, and why
This website has three forms. We only collect what each one needs:
Contact form
Name, email address, subject, and your message — used solely to respond to your enquiry. Legal basis: your consent, given by submitting the form.
Membership registration
Name, email address, and optionally your postcode and any comments — used to maintain our membership register and, where you've agreed, to send occasional updates by email. Legal basis: your consent, given by submitting the form and ticking the consent box.
Newsletter sign-up
Email address only — used to send occasional updates about the park, events, and governance notices. Legal basis: your consent, given by submitting the form.
How your data is processed
These forms are handled by Formspree, a third-party form processing service, which delivers submissions to us by email. We don't run any analytics, tracking, or advertising cookies on this website. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for their own marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
Contact enquiries are kept only as long as needed to deal with your message and any follow-up. Membership and newsletter details are kept for as long as you remain a member or subscriber, or until you ask us to remove them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
- ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- ask us to delete your data, or stop processing it;
- withdraw your consent at any time — unsubscribe links are included in every email, or you can simply email us;
- complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we've handled your data incorrectly.
