Join as a Member

Membership of Friends of Verdin Park is open to anyone who supports the aims of the organisation. There is no membership fee at present — we operate on a voluntary basis and welcome all who wish to be part of the group.

As a member, you will receive our updates and newsletters, be entitled to attend and vote at the AGM, and have the opportunity to stand for election to the committee.

Volunteer with Us

We are always looking for volunteers with a range of skills and availabilities. Here are some of the ways you can help.

Practical Conservation

Litter-picking, planting, path maintenance, and general park improvement tasks. No experience necessary — just enthusiasm.

Ad hoc / event-based

Events Helper

Help organise and run community events — from our summer picnic to seasonal celebrations and guided walks.

Flexible, a few times a year

Committee Member

Attend monthly committee meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making, campaigns, and governance.

Regular meetings plus some additional time

Communications

Help manage our social media presence, write for our newsletter, photograph events, or maintain this website.
