Protecting Verdin Park for everyone, for always.

Friends of Verdin Park is a community organisation committed to preserving and enhancing one of Northwich's most treasured public spaces — for the benefit of residents, wildlife, and future generations.

“Verdin Park has been the green heart of Northwich since 1887. We are here to ensure it remains a living, thriving, and welcoming space — for picnics and play, for nature and quiet reflection, for this generation and the next.”

A Park With Deep Roots

Donated to the people of Northwich by the Verdin family in 1887, Verdin Park has served as a vital public green space for over 130 years. Open lawns, mature trees, woodland walks and quiet resting spots are part of the town's heritage.

Friends of Verdin Park works constructively with Cheshire West and Chester Council, local schools, businesses, and residents to ensure the park continues to serve the whole community — safely, sustainably, and beautifully.
